What "watertight" means here

A standard cover keeps solids out. A watertight cover keeps water out — and, just as often, keeps odour and sewage gas in. The NX-W series is built for both duties.

Continuous gasket seal around the full perimeter, tested against standing water.
Screw-lock or hinged variants for chambers that are entered regularly.
Engineered underside ribs carry the load without adding weight.
Holds flush in paved surfaces up to D400 traffic.
Lifting options: eyes, non-through holes or flush handles.
